Abstract

This study examines the influence of transformational leadership on the innovation performance of educational staff in Beijing’s polytechnic universities, focusing on the mediating roles of innovation culture and employee motivation. Using a quantitative research methodology, data were collected from 400 academic staff members across fourteen polytechnic universities and analyzed through Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The findings reveal that transformational leadership significantly enhances innovation performance, with innovation culture and employee motivation serving as crucial mediators. This study contributes to the understanding of how leadership practices can foster an innovative academic environment, providing valuable insights for educational policymakers and administrators aiming to boost innovation within academic institutions.
